A chronic inflammatory skin disorder, prurigo nodularis causes firm and extremely itchy nodules on the torso and extremities. Studies have found a correlation between PN and several systemic and psychiatric comorbidities, which tend to disproportionately affect racial/ethnic minorities. This session will shed light on the diagnosis and treatment of PN in patients with skin of color, while also addressing the racial disparities in mortality among these individuals.
