A rare autoinflammatory disease, SAPHO (synovitis, acne, pustulosis, hyperostosis, osteitis) syndrome is associated with osteoarticular inflammatory lesions and dermatological disorders. Among the effective treatments for osteoarticular manifestations are TNF blockers and inhibitors of JAK, IL-1, and IL-17, while options for cutaneous symptoms include inhibitors of JAK and IL-17. This session will review the history of SAPHO syndrome while also discussing the target of several biologic therapies for this uncommon and complicated condition.

Understand how SAPHO presents, including skin and joint manifestations
Discuss SpA, infection, and autoinflammatory as they relate to SAPHO
Learn what can be done when it comes to treating patients with SAPHO
